Clinical Reflexology
Reflexology is based on the principle that points on the hands and feets, known as reflexes, are related to specific parts of the body. It is a safe and highly effective way of treating the body as a whole. This gentle therapy encourages the body to work naturally to restore its own healthy balance. Reflexology is an extremely relaxing and therapeutic treatment.
Daoyin Tao
Pronounced DAW YIN TOW
Daoyin Tao is a massage of the face, neck & shoulders. It is very relaxing and most people find themselves falling to sleep during the treatment. Many common ailments we 'live with' are ideally suited to the deep healing potential of this complementary therapy. Slow, gentle, flowing techniques combine with specific work on a variety of carefully selected points on the face, neck and shoulders produce an amazingly effective synergy.
The Bowen Technique Bowen technique treatment is gentle, subtle and relaxing, it takes approximately 45 minutes for a treatment and most of the work can be performed through light clothing.
The practitioner uses thumbs and fingers on precise points on the body to make rolling type moves, which aim to disturb the muscle, soft tissue and energy within the body. During the treatment there are times that the client is left resting to allow the body to absorb the gentle moves that have been performed. This gives the body time to make very subtle and fine adjustments, which help relieve tension, reduce pain and encourage the healing process.
The Bowen Technique encourage the body to realign itself; there is no force, manipulation or adjustment of hard tissue. The Bowen Technique is not a form of massage.
